We are Duke Aviators

We are a student organization at Duke University dedicated to fostering a passion for aviation within the Duke and greater RTP community. The group provides members with unique aviation experiences, introduces students to the fundamentals of flying and pilot training, and is engineering an on-campus a flight simulator for educational purposes. Duke Aviators also engages with the local aviation community by hosting guest speakers, running aviation workshops within Durham Public Schools, and participating in aviation-related events. Open to the entire Duke community, we serve a place for flyers and learners alike.

What We do

Discovery Flights

Take an incredible 60-minute flight around Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh with a private pilot instructor. Fully funded by Duke Aviators. Bring your friend as a backseat passenger.

PPL 101

Join us in training for getting your Private Pilots License. Our partnerships with the Raleigh Flying Club makes getting your certificate easier with a lower financial barrier to entry.

Flight Sim Lessons

The one and only flight simulator on campus at Duke - tap into your senses and controls, and take the opportunity to train with the executive team.

And Much More!

Join us on one of our many extracurricular activities around the country. We visit aerospace organizations around the counrty and recieve behind-the-scenes tours at airports, factories, airshows, and more!
