Duke Aviators prides ourselves in not only offering immersive flight experiences outside the Club, but also within. Check out our in-house flight simulator we use for 1 on 1 trainings. Built by students, for students, the flight simulator is continuously being improved with current ongoing efforts of bringing in new equipment and displays. Best part? Apr 2024, Our First Simulator

Installed our first initial flight setup: basic controls including a yoke, throttle quadrant, and rudder pedals—marking the official start of simulator development.

Aug 2024, Full-time access to our first room

With our Secured dedicated space for continuous simulator development, facilitating hardware experimentation and uninterrupted testing.

Sep 2024, Multi-screen instrumentation displays

Successfully integrated independent PFD and MFD screens, complete with backlit functionality—major leap in realistic flight instrumentation.

Nov, 2024, Acrylic Dashboard Development

Developed and installed a precision-cut acrylic dashboard prototype, significantly enhancing cockpit realism and durability.

Jan 2025, New PC investment & Instrumentation Tests

Upgraded simulator computational capabilities with a high-performance PC and began integrating custom-built hardware instrument panels for enhanced realism.

Feb 2025, Main Display Upgrade & Instrumentation Refinements

Introduced a comprehensive three-monitor array powered by the new PC; fine-tuned custom instrumentation, dramatically improving visual clarity and functional immersion.
